DevOps Cloud Platform Senior/Manager

The opportunity

We are looking for a skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer with expertise in both AWS and Azure platforms. This role is responsible for end-to-end DevOps support, infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipeline troubleshooting, and incident resolution across cloud environments. The role will handle escalations, lead root cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to deliver high-availability services. You will also contribute to enhancing runbooks, SOPs, and mentoring junior engineers

Skills and attributes for success

(4-7 yr role):

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines, and AWS CodePipeline.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform; good understanding of CloudFormation and ARM Templates.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
• Deep understanding of AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, EKS) and Azure (VMs, Blob Storage, AKS, AAD).
• Container orchestration and management using Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.
• Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible.
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, IAM policies, and compliance standards.
• Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow for incident and change management.

• Strong documentation and communication skills.

• Experience (8+ year role)

• 10+ years of experience in cloud platforms, DevOps engineering, infrastructure automation, and operations leadership.
• Demonstrated experience managing Azure cloud environments at enterprise scale, including governance, Landing Zones, and platform modernization.
• Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams responsible for Kubernetes, Terraform/IaC, CI/CD automation, and cloud operations.

• Experience managing 247 operational support, escalations, incident handling, and ensuring high availability and reliability of systems.

• Technical & Managerial Expertise

• Strong architectural understanding of Azure services (VMs, networking, storage, AKS, AAD) at a solutiondesign and governance level.
• Expertise in reviewing and approving IaC templates (Terraform, ARM/Bicep) and cloud-native platform engineering designs.

• Ability to define DevOps practices, automation frameworks, and continuous delivery standards across the organization.

• Certifications (Preferred)

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ305).
• Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ400).
• Additional certifications in cloud governance, security, or Kubernetes are a plus.

• Cloud Platform & Architecture: Microsoft Azure (Primary Cloud Platform) strong architectural understanding of compute, networking, identity, storage, governance, and Landing Zones.
• CI/CD & Deployment Oversight: Azure DevOps Pipelines ability to define enterprise CI/CD standards, ensure pipeline governance, and oversee release automation best practices.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform (Primary IaC Tool) – expertise in reviewing Terraform module standards, enforcing IaC governance, remote state mgmt., and policy-as-code practices.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, Helm – deep conceptual understanding to guide teams on platform modernization, cluster governance, workloads, and operational readiness.
• Logging, Monitoring & Reliability: Azure Monitor – ability to define observability strategy, monitoring governance, alert standards, and SRE-aligned operational KPIs.
• Configuration & Automation: Ansible, Bash – oversight of automation frameworks, ensuring consistency, operational automation, and environment standardization.
• Incident Management & ITSM: ServiceNow (or equivalent) – experienced in incident, change, and problem management processes, RCA leadership, and operational governance.
• Certifications: Azure Relevant Certifications – AZ305, AZ400, or equivalent (manager-level expectation for architectural and DevOps leadership).
