Full Stack Developer

Job Summary

Briviant Inc. is seeking an intermediate Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and improving web applications and software solutions across both the front-end and back-end. This position is remote from the state of California.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building responsive user interfaces, developing server-side applications, integrating APIs, managing databases, and troubleshooting technical issues. You should be comfortable working independently on assigned projects while collaborating with other developers, systems administrators, and business stakeholders.

This position is well-suited for a developer who has moved beyond entry-level work and can take ownership of features, contribute to architectural decisions, and deliver reliable, scalable software.

Responsibilities:

Full Stack Development

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications.
• Build responsive, user-friendly front-end interfaces.
• Develop and maintain back-end services, APIs, and application logic.
• Integrate front-end and back-end systems to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues across the technology stack.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards.
• Collaborate with team members to plan and deliver software projects.
• Optimize application performance, security, and reliability.
• Maintain technical documentation and support ongoing system improvements.

Software Engineering & Collaboration

• Translate business and technical requirements into functional software solutions.
• Participate in sprint planning, task estimation, and project tracking.
• Identify opportunities to improve development processes and application functionality.
• Support testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of production applications.
• Stay current with emerging development technologies, frameworks, and best practices.

Required Technical Skills:

Front-End Development

Candidates should have practical experience with front-end development, including:

• HTML5 – Semantic markup, responsive layouts, and web accessibility.
• JavaScript – Modern JavaScript (ES6+), DOM manipulation, asynchronous programming, and API integration.
• React – Component-based application development and state management.
• Vue.js – Component-based development and front-end application architecture.
• Angular – Structured front-end application development and TypeScript-based frameworks.
• CSS3 and responsive web design.
• Front-end debugging, performance optimization, and browser compatibility.

Back-End Development

Candidates should have experience developing server-side applications using one or more of the following:

• Python – Back-end application development, scripting, and API development.
• Perl – Scripting, automation, and application maintenance.
• Ruby on Rails – Web application development and MVC architecture.
• JavaScript (Node.js) – Server-side application development, API services, and asynchronous programming.

Additional back-end skills:

• RESTful API development and integration.
• Database design, queries, and data management.
• Authentication, authorization, and application security.
• Server-side debugging and performance optimization.

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience delivering production web applications.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and software deployment practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerized applications.
• Experience writing unit tests and integration tests.
• Ability to work with third-party APIs and external service integrations.
• Familiarity with Agile or other collaborative software development methodologies.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools or integrating AI capabilities into applications is a plus.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
