About The Department

• The AI and Digital Platform team supports Franklin Templeton’s Sales and Distribution organization by developing Artificial Intelligence, data, digital, and workflow solutions that improve business performance. The team includes software engineers, data scientists, architects, product specialists, and governance partners who work closely together in small, multidisciplinary teams. The environment is highly collaborative, evidence-driven, and innovation-focused, providing opportunities to work on enterprise-scale Artificial Intelligence products, solve complex business challenges, and expand expertise in emerging technologies.

How You Will Add Value? Core Responsibilities

• You will convert business questions into data-driven experiments.
• You will design hypotheses, metrics, and evaluation frameworks.
• You will build machine learning and Generative Artificial Intelligence solutions.
• You will develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation and retrieval strategies.
• You will create datasets to assess model quality and performance.
• You will engineer features from structured and unstructured data.
• You will evaluate and compare models using measurable evidence.

Strategic Responsibilities

• You will improve model accuracy, reliability, and explainability.
• You will integrate models into production workflows.
• You will define monitoring and drift-detection requirements.
• You will maintain reproducible experiments and documentation.
• You will support governance and responsible Artificial Intelligence practices.

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role? Experience, Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline.
• 5+ years of data science or machine learning experience.
• Experience delivering analytics or machine learning solutions.
• Experience working with real-world business data.

Technical Skills

• Advanced Python and Structured Query Language skills.
• Strong statistical and machine learning knowledge.
• Feature engineering and experiment design expertise.
• Experience with Generative Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models.
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation, embeddings, and semantic search.
• Agent workflows and model evaluation techniques.
• Cloud-based data and Artificial Intelligence platforms.
