**AI Engineer Remote (US)**

Fox Talent is partnering with a venture-backed AI startup that is scaling its engineering team following a recent Series B raise. The company is building production AI products used by enterprise clients and is moving from early traction into serious growth.

This is a fully remote role where you will own AI features from prototype through to production, working within a small, highly technical team with real influence over architecture and product direction.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing, building and shipping LLM-powered features into production
• Building and optimising RAG pipelines, agentic workflows and evaluation frameworks
• Working with model APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models) and fine-tuning where it makes sense
• Owning the reliability, latency and cost of AI systems at scale
• Collaborating closely with product and founders to turn ideas into shipped features quickly

What they’re looking for

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with strong Python
• Hands-on experience shipping LLM or ML systems into production, not just research or demos
• Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings and retrieval techniques
• Solid grounding in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP or Azure) and modern data tooling
• Comfortable working autonomously in a remote, fast-moving startup environment
• Bonus: experience with evals, observability tooling, or TypeScript on the product side
