Job Description
Launch a new face-to-face fundraising campaign in London for an incredible charity, Centrepoint, then run it. You start as Team Leader in November on £16 an hour, move into a Campaign Manager training phase on £17 an hour, and take over as Campaign Manager on a £35,000 salary plus uncapped bonus within three to four months.
Centrepoint is the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, and this new London campaign is being built from the first shift. Whoever builds it runs it: the sites, the people, the culture and the results, with the same set-up as our Save the Children Campaign Manager.
The pathway
- November: Team Leader, £16 an hour plus bonuses. Lead the team every day, learn Centrepoint’s story and the GRIT way, and complete GRIT Academy, our 15-module Team Leader Pathway
- The next one to two months: Campaign Manager training, £17 an hour plus bonuses. You take over the site planning and the rota, run interviews with the Company Director alongside you, and spot your first future Team Leaders
- February or March 2027: Campaign Manager. the campaign you launched is yours to run
- Already running a campaign? Tell us, and we’ll talk about a shorter route
The money
- Build months: about £770 to £800 in an on-target week, with your own supporters and the Team Leader bonus
- As Campaign Manager: £35,000 salary plus an uncapped bonus on the team’s supporters, productivity and quality and your own sign-ups, worked out weekly and paid monthly. On target, salary and bonus average about £940 to £1,080 a week in your first year, and strong weeks pass £1,300
- Also as Campaign Manager: a company iPhone and MacBook, 28 days’ holiday including bank holidays, and a company pension
What you’d own
- Sites: next week’s street sites, and the private sites worth paying for
- People: you choose who joins, coach every day and promote your own Team Leaders. We run the adverts and the first screening for you
- Standards and results: your team meetings, your rhythm on site, your numbers. Spend is agreed with the Company Director, and you plan together every Friday morning
- What comes next: the role is built as the step before Regional Manager as GRIT grows
Who we’re looking for
- A proven face-to-face fundraising record, and results leading a team as a Team Leader, Senior Team Leader or above
- You coach from what you see on site, not from what you hear second-hand
- A sound grasp of compliance, vulnerability and supporter quality
- Organised: rotas, records and reports done properly and on time
- Happy in the field most days, fundraising and leading from the front
An inclusive, supportive team that looks after its people. Our staff reviews on Indeed are 5 out of 5, and that isn’t by accident: we coach every day, promote from within, and work hard to make the job rewarding and as much fun as it can be. Our London Campaign Manager went from fundraiser to running the campaign in ten months.
How to apply
Apply with your CV; a cover letter is optional. We’ll message you on Indeed about the next step: a video interview built for managers, six questions and about 20 minutes, on a laptop or phone. If you’re successful at that stage, someone from our recruitment team will be in touch within three working days to arrange a call with the Company Director. We’re an equal opportunities employer and will make reasonable adjustments at any stage: just tell us what you need.
