Assistant General Manager

Akara is a vibrant, exciting restaurant in Borough Yards, from the team behind Michelin-starred Akoko. Bringing together the flavours and energy of West Africa and Brazil, Akara is a bold, modern restaurant making its mark on London’s food scene.

As Akara continues to grow, we’re strengthening our management team and have created an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant General Manager to join us.

We already have a brilliant, established team who know the restaurant inside out. We’re looking for someone who can bring strong leadership, experience and fresh energy, take ownership of the day-to-day running of the restaurant and help us build on everything we’ve achieved so far.

What We’re Looking For

• Solid AGM or senior management experience in a busy, quality-driven restaurant.
• A confident, natural leader who can motivate and earn the respect of an established team.
• Strong operational and commercial understanding.
• Good knowledge of food, wine and cocktails.
• Someone comfortable taking ownership and making decisions independently.
• Great personality, positive energy and a genuine love of hospitality.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £46,000.00 per year
