Associate Attorney — Litigation & Transactional | AI-Forward Boutique | Remote (NJ-Based)

Our Outside Counsel Subscription Service (OCSS) delivers sophisticated, relationship-driven legal counsel to businesses, nonprofits, healthcare providers, and professionals across New Jersey and New York. We use AI as a force multiplier, and we’re looking for an attorney who sees it the same way.

The Role

This is a full-time, remote associate position for a seasoned mid-level attorney ready to do real work across both litigation and transactional matters. You will argue motions. You will appear in NJ Superior Court, federal court, and the Office of Administrative Law. You will draft and negotiate contracts. You will advise clients who count on you. This is not a document review role. This is not a stepping stone to somewhere else. This is a seat at the table of a firm that is intentionally scaling — and we want someone who wants to grow with it.

What You’ll Do

• Handle a mixed docket of litigation and transactional matters across business, healthcare, employment, education, environmental, and nonprofit law
• Litigate across multiple forums — NJ Superior Court, federal court, and the Office of Administrative Law
• Argue motions and appear before courts and administrative tribunals
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and compliance documents
• Advise OCSS clients with sharp, timely, client-first communication
• Conduct legal research and produce high-quality written work product
• Work alongside AI tools that make your practice faster and sharper — and help shape how we use them

What You Bring

• 5 to 8 years of litigation and transactional experience
• Active bar admission in New Jersey (New York admission strongly preferred)
• NJ residency — court and administrative appearances are part of the job
• Demonstrated comfort arguing motions and appearing before courts and tribunals
• Strong transactional instincts alongside your litigation foundation
• Exceptional writing, sound judgment, and confident client communication
• A genuine growth mindset — you’re excited to learn new practice areas, not just deepen one lane
• Comfort working in an AI-powered, cloud-based environment — or serious curiosity to get there fast
