What you’ll do

• Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, then use hydraulic and pneumatic layouts to trace how equipment operates and where faults occur

• Diagnose performance across applications involving HVAC, elevators, heavy equipment, marine, rail, utilities and telecommunications, including industrial settings

• Assess PLC logic and industrial control systems, then judge diagnostic scenarios against NFPA 70/79, ASME A17.1, OSHA and other United States requirements

• Prepare clear service reports documenting troubleshooting methods and findings, then describe corrective work and approaches for equipment maintenance, service and repair
