Job Description
• $140–$400 per hour
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• Fully flexible schedule
Work on the cutting edge of legal AI, on your own schedule, and get paid for the legal judgment you already bring to complex matters.
The legal AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by practicing lawyers. The teams building them need corporate lawyers who can create realistic legal scenarios, judge how well the AI handles documents and legal questions, write the answer a strong lawyer would give, and explain exactly where its reasoning or drafting falls short. Your judgment becomes part of how the next generation of legal AI handles transactions, disputes and legal analysis. This is that work, done remotely around your current practice.
What you’ll do
• Assess corporate deal documents covering mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions
• Evaluate briefs and other commercial litigation documents, then flag the governing legal principles and procedural issues
• Explain the legal reasoning and give detailed feedback on scenario assessments and drafting approaches
• Annotate legal datasets, then check the work against project rubrics for accuracy, clarity and compliance
Why this is worth your time
• Get paid $140–$400 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job
• Work directly with frontier legal AI tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most corporate lawyers will not have for years
• Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping legal work, and the lawyers who understand it from the inside will lead that change
• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute
Who this is for
• Hold an active United States license to practice law and demonstrate professional fluency in English
• Bring recent experience from a top-tier BigLaw firm, either in your current role or during the last three years
• Bring substantive corporate law experience covering mergers and acquisitions, private equity and capital markets, plus expertise in commercial litigation, high-value transactions and complex agreements
• No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.
Pay and details
• $140–$400 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor
• Fully flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
