Job Description
• $30–$100 per hour equivalent, paid per accepted task
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• About 15 hours a week, you choose when
Work on the cutting edge of AI coding systems, on your own schedule, and get paid for the backend expertise you already have.
The AI coding systems changing how software gets built are trained and tested by real engineers. The teams building them need backend engineers who can design realistic coding scenarios, assess whether an AI solution works and meets professional standards, prepare the answer and tests an expert would provide, and explain exactly where the AI falls short. Your judgment becomes part of how the next generation of coding systems works. This is that work, done remotely around your current job.
What you’ll do
• Design backend tasks around adding features or fixing software bugs
• Write the reference answer and test suite, checking that correct submissions pass while incorrect ones fail
• Review AI-generated solutions for correctness and code quality
• Explain where solutions fall short using debugging, performance analysis, testing and refactoring skills
Why this is worth your time
• Get paid $30–$100 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job
• Work directly with frontier AI coding tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most software engineers will not have for years
• Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping software engineering, and the engineers who understand it from the inside will lead that change
• Fully remote, fully flexible, no minimum shift, no commute
Who this is for
• Professional backend experience using Java, Node.js, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Python, C++ or a similar language
• Experience implementing complex features, diagnosing bugs, and resolving system bottlenecks in scalable services and APIs
• Fluent in English and strong in algorithms and data structures, automated testing, code review and refactoring
• No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.
Pay and details
• $30–$100 per hour equivalent; pay is per accepted task, as an independent contractor
• About 15 hours a week, you choose when; fully remote, United States
