Job Description
• $60–$120 per hour equivalent, paid per accepted task
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• About 15 hours a week, you choose when
Work on the cutting edge of AI, on your own schedule, and get paid for the machine learning expertise you already have.
The AI systems changing how technical work gets done are trained and tested by real experts. The teams building them need machine learning researchers who can create challenging, realistic coding tasks, judge the AI’s solutions, write a solution a professional would trust, and explain exactly where the AI falls short. Your judgment helps shape how the next generation of models solves difficult engineering problems. This is that work, done remotely, around your current job.
What you’ll do
• Create challenging coding tasks involving model development or numerical computing, with clear correctness and performance requirements
• Write reference solutions for training pipelines and inference systems
• Review machine learning code to check that it produces correct results and meets performance requirements
• Reproduce numerical or system-level failures and explain where the solution went wrong
Why this is worth your time
• Get paid $60–$120 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job
• Work directly with frontier AI tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most machine learning researchers will not have for years
• Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping machine learning research and engineering, and the people who understand it from the inside will lead that change
• Fully remote, fully flexible, no minimum shift, no commute
Who this is for
• You hold either a PhD or a master’s degree in engineering, statistics, applied mathematics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer science, or a quantitative discipline closely related to these fields
• You bring strong machine learning experience from professional work or research and use Python and coding agents proficiently in practice to solve coding-intensive problems involving models, systems and numerical computing
• Professional fluency in English
• No experience in AI training work needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.
Pay and details
• $60–$120 per hour equivalent; pay is per accepted task, as an independent contractor
• About 15 hours a week, you choose when; fully remote, United States
