About the Role
Portless is looking for an AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered systems for logistics and e-commerce applications. In this role, you will work with machine learning models, large language models, computer vision, and predictive analytics to develop solutions that address operational challenges.
You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver AI-powered features and take ownership of the full machine learning lifecycle, from data preparation and model training to evaluation, deployment, and ongoing performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities
● Build and deploy AI/ML models for logistics and e-commerce use cases.
● Work with large language models (LLMs), computer vision, and predictive analytics.
● Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop and release AI-powered features.
● Manage the full machine learning lifecycle, including data, training, evaluation, and deployment.
● Monitor models in production and improve their performance over time.
Required Qualifications
● At least 4 years of experience in AI/ML engineering.
● Strong proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
● Experience deploying machine learning models into production.
● Must already be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.
● Candidates based in Canada or Mexico will be considered only if they already have US work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience in logistics, e-commerce, or supply-chain operations.
● Experience with LLM fine-tuning and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
Location and Work Arrangement
● Fully remote position open to candidates in North America.
● Requires approximately 6 hours of overlap with Eastern Time (ET).
● Full-time engagement.
Salary and Benefits
● Annual salary range of $180,000–$230,000.
