Job Description

Thrivin Gymwear is a fast-growing women’s activewear brand dedicated to creating stylish, functional and high-quality pieces that empower women to look and feel their best.

As we continue to grow and expand our collections, we’re looking for a creative, organised and detail-oriented Assistant Designer to join our Design team and support the development of our seasonal collections.

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Assistant Designer to support our Design team across the full design process, from initial concepts through to final product sign-off.

Working closely with the Design Manager and wider Design team, you’ll provide both creative and administrative support, helping ensure our collections are developed accurately, efficiently and in line with Thrivin’s creative direction.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about women’s activewear who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is eager to grow their career within a rapidly expanding brand.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Creative Support

  • Support the creation and delivery of seasonal collections, from initial concept through to final sign-off.
  • Assist in preparing seasonal overviews, design presentations, range reviews and sign-off decks.
  • Support the development of colourways, graphics, prints, trims and product details in line with seasonal creative direction.
  • Create and update CADs, technical flats and visual design assets using Adobe Illustrator and other relevant design software.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate design documentation, including style lists, product names and codes, colour palettes, artwork sheets and design specifications.
  • Prepare design materials for internal reviews and product sign-off meetings.

Design Administration & Organisation

  • Maintain accurate seasonal trackers, design libraries and documentation.
  • Ensure design files, artwork libraries and product imagery are organised, up to date and easily accessible to the wider team.
  • Manage assigned tasks and deadlines, ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Proactively identify missing information, inconsistencies or potential delays and flag these to the Design Manager.
  • Provide additional product administration support during busy periods when required.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Development and Technical teams to ensure design intent is clearly communicated throughout the development process.
  • Support alignment on product details, including trims, materials, colourways, artwork and design specifications.
  • Review product information to identify discrepancies against the intended design direction, escalating any concerns to the Design Manager.
  • Ensure all design documentation shared across departments is accurate, consistent and up to date.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to support the smooth and efficient delivery of seasonal collections.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in an Assistant Designer or similar role within sportswear, activewear, fashion or a related category is desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator , particularly creating CADs and technical flats.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of garment design, fabrics, trims, colour, construction and product development processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • A genuine passion for women’s activewear, fashion and emerging product trends.

Why Join Thrivin?

  • Join an ambitious, rapidly growing women’s activewear brand.
  • Work alongside a passionate, creative and collaborative international team.
  • Gain hands-on experience across the seasonal design and development process.
  • Have the opportunity to grow and develop your career as the brand continues to expand.
  • Enjoy the flexibility of a remote-first working environment.
