About the Role

• We are looking for an experienced NODEJS Backend Developer with 5–6 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications and backend services.
• The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Node.js backend development , experience with PostgreSQL , cloud platforms, authentication mechanisms, file storage, APIs, and third-party integrations.
• Exposure to modern frontend technologies and GIS/map-based applications will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend applications using Node.js .
• Build robust RESTful APIs and backend services using Express.js or NestJS .
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including schemas, queries, indexes, and performance tuning.
• Develop secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth, JWT, and SSO .
• Integrate and manage cloud-based services using AWS, Azure, or GCP .
• Implement file storage and retrieval using AWS S3 .
• Develop and integrate third-party APIs and services.
• Work with GIS technologies and APIs such as ESRI / ArcGIS .
• Integrate mapping services such as Mapbox or Google Maps API .
• Support reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI or embedded analytics .
• Collaborate with frontend developers working with React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS .
• Ensure application security, scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, testing, and deployment activities.
• Follow coding standards, development best practices, and version-control processes.

Required Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science / Information Technology or MCA.
• 3–6 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and Express.js or NestJS.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database concepts.
• Experience in developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Good understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with authentication mechanisms such as JWT, OAuth, or SSO.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Hands-on experience in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) is required, including working with GIS-related applications, spatial data, and geospatial technologies.
