Summary This position is part of the Network Analytics Support Team. As part of the Network Analytics team, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively on complex issues and projects that may span multiple infrastructure components or applications. You will develop your professional network and leadership skills, assisting in the creation and support of IT Solutions that enable success. Further, you will contribute real value by developing, integrating, and/or supporting in-house and purchased applications or infrastructure solutions to solve complex business problems.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Utilize established network analysis systems tools and processes, including ScienceLogic, ThousandEyes, Gigamon, Wireshark, Broadcom NFA, PowerBI, API, SQL, Shell, and Python.
• Create and deliver data-driven analyses/reports, test plans, and execution to various customers, including applications and infrastructure, business units, dealers, and suppliers.
• Assist Network planners in interpreting capacity and performance data and reports for their capacity planning needs.
• Enhance existing systems by understanding use cases or requirements, identifying areas for modification and improvement, and executing the enhancements.
• Work with vendors on the integration of purchased applications and/or infrastructure.
• Provide assessments of response times and network traffic for new application deployments and releases/upgrades.
• Provide deeper analysis of application/network response times for issues and proactive improvements.
• Work directly on application/technical problem identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions.
• Participate in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or infrastructure components.
• Design and implement processes, or process improvements, to aid in development and support.
• Respond to incidents and assist with analysis to improve MTTR.
• Investigate network paths.
• Set up network traces and analyze traces.

 

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Python or another language and API or SQL.
• Experience in network administration, systems, and/or application administration on Linux or Windows platforms.

 

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant certifications.
• Five to seven years of progressively responsible IT job-related experiences.

 

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• 2-3 years of development experience with Python, API, SQL, and Shell.
• Experience working with Enterprise analytics and monitoring solutions (ScienceLogic, ThousandEyes, PowerBI, AWS S3, Snowflake, syslog, and/or network flow logs) and integrating data into these tools with outside sources.
• Experience with cloud technologies via AWS or Azure.
• Experience working with Cisco networking technologies.
• Experience working with Silver Peak SDWAN technologies.
