Job Description

Job Overview

As an RTL Design Engineer, you’ll develop and verify register-transfer-level (RTL) designs for field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and systems-on-chip (SoCs). You’ll turn system requirements into clear hardware designs, collaborate across engineering and manufacturing, and help deliver reliable electronics. Your impact: Thorough design verification and debugging help teams identify issues early and deliver dependable hardware to users.

Duties

  • Design, document, and review digital circuits, schematics, and electronic systems using SystemVerilog and related hardware description methods.
  • Build verification plans and run engineering tests, simulations, and signal-processing analyses; investigate failures through root cause analysis.
  • Debug designs using oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, and other lab tools; support printed circuit board (PCB) design, manufacturing, and surface-mount technology processes.
  • Coordinate project scheduling and collaborate on firmware, automation, control systems, and programmable logic controller (PLC) integration.
  • Apply scripting and programming, including Python, C++, MATLAB, or Perl, to support design, simulation, and system development verification.

Requirements

  • Essential: Electrical or related engineering experience, with skills in digital design, SystemVerilog, circuit design, debugging, engineering testing, and technical documentation.
  • Preferred: Experience with FPGA, SoC, ARM, Arduino, PCB design, CAD software, simulation tools, and electrical schematic design.
  • Additional relevant skills may include electrical systems and system design, industrial automation, communications systems, mechanical knowledge, and manufacturing or industrial engineering practice.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, NEC, NFPA 70 compliance, electrical building codes, vision inspection systems, soldering, and quantum engineering is welcome.
