**Role Description The Director of Hospital Billing Operations is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for overseeing end-to-end hospital billing processes and teams. This role includes managing daily operations for hospital billing, charge capture, claim submission, payment posting, and denial follow-up to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with payer and regulatory requi

rements.

The director will lead and mentor billing managers and teams, define performance metrics, monitor SLAs, and implement process improvements to enhance cash flow and reduce denials and write-offs.

This position will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams such as coding, patient access, and A/R to resolve complex billing issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The director will also prepare and review operational reports, manage budgets, support client transitions, and ensure that quality, training, and compliance standards are consistently met.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in hospital billing operations, including charge entry, claim processing, payment posting, and denial management within a revenue cycle management or hospital environment.
• Strong leadership abilities with a track record of managing large teams, developing managers, driving performance, and fostering a collaborative, accountable work culture.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. healthcare reimbursement, payer rules, billing regulations, and compliance standards (e.g., Medicare/Medicaid, commercial payers, HIPAA).
• Demonstrated skills in process improvement, operational excellence, and use of data/metrics to optimize workflows, turnaround times, and cash collections.
• Proficiency with hospital billing systems, EHR/RCM platforms, and standard reporting tools; comfort working with dashboards and KPIs.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills, with the ability to manage expectations and resolve escalations effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex billing scenarios and implement sustainable solutions.
