Part-Time Assistant to the Founder

**Semi Expert Carbondale, IL Remote (local to Carbondale, IL) About 10 hours/week to start, with room to grow $16-$19/hr**

About Semi Expert

Semi Expert is a heavy-duty recruiting firm based in Carbondale, IL. We help truck dealers, repair shops, and fleets across Southern Illinois and the surrounding area hire parts, service, and technician talent.

The Role

Our founder has a lot going on. We need an organized, friendly right hand to keep Semi Expert running smoothly, so his time goes to the phone with shops and candidates. You’ll own the calendar, the inbox, and the details. No recruiting experience needed.

What You’ll Do

• Manage the Semi Expert inbox and calendar, and schedule calls and interviews with clients and candidates
• Send interview confirmations and reminders, and follow up so nothing slips
• Keep our CRM and Google Sheets lists clean and current
• Post and refresh job ads on Indeed, LinkedIn, and Facebook
• Help with invoices and simple bookkeeping entries
• Schedule our LinkedIn posts and keep our online presence tidy
• Pull together a simple weekly numbers report every Friday

Who You Are

• Organized and dependable. Lists, calendars, and follow-through are your thing.
• A clear, friendly writer who’s comfortable on the phone
• Comfortable with Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Sheets, and quick to learn new tools
• Good with confidential info (many candidates are job hunting quietly)
• About 10 hours a week on weekdays to start, with some flexibility. Hours can grow as we do.
• Based in or near Carbondale, IL
• Bonus: experience in a dealership or shop office, or at a staffing firm

Pay and Perks

• $16-$19 per hour based on experience
