Project Manager | Developer/GC

Flowtec Construction is partnering with an integrated developer and general contractor in Chicago to recruit a Project Manager to lead multifamily, commercial and hospitality projects.

With development and construction working together, this position offers involvement across the full project lifecycle. You’ll work closely with the development team on feasibility, budgeting, design decisions and construction strategy, then take ownership of turning that vision into a successfully delivered project.

The opportunity

You’ll be a key link between development, design and construction, helping the team make informed decisions around cost, quality, schedule and overall project viability. Your construction expertise will have a voice early, when it can have the greatest impact.

The project mix spans multifamily, commercial and hospitality, offering variety in both the buildings you deliver and the challenges you solve.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead projects from early planning and preconstruction through construction, closeout and handover.
• Partner with the development team to assess budgets, schedules, constructability and project risks.
• Work with architects and consultants to develop practical, coordinated designs that support the project’s vision and financial objectives.
• Own project financials, procurement, contracts, forecasting and change management.
• Work closely with field leadership to drive safe, high-quality execution.
• Build strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and project stakeholders.
• Mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.
• Bring clear recommendations to senior leadership and help resolve challenges before they affect delivery.

• A Project Manager with a track record delivering multifamily, commercial and/or hospitality projects.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $130,000–$165,000, depending on experience and project background.
• Annual bonus: Target of 15–20% of base salary, tied to individual, project and company performance.
• Vehicle allowance: $750–$1,000 per month, plus reimbursement for business-related fuel and parking.
