Job Description
Note: This is an exclusive role, and having hired the entire GTM team, we know exactly what the company is looking for. We’re selective about who we put forward for interview, but if you believe you’re a strong fit, please send me a message & we’ll prio your application. Must have sold to the Fortune 500.
What if your next AE role was selling the financial technology behind the companies defining the next generation of enterprise commerce?
Join one of the fastest-growing companies in enterprise fintech as they aggressively scale their commercial team across NYC.
This is a chance to sell directly into Fortune 500 companies, global enterprises, commercial leaders & senior executives managing complex business operations - at a company operating right at the centre of the current fintech boom.
They’re well-funded, growing rapidly & building a serious commercial organisation around a category-defining product with real enterprise adoption.
This is not traditional enterprise SaaS.
It’s faster, more strategic, more entrepreneurial & much closer to the customer.
The company
A high-growth fintech company building technology that helps businesses modernise & automate complex financial operations.
Their platform sits deep within the modern enterprise stack, helping commercial teams improve financial visibility, operational efficiency, profitability & decision-making as their organisations grow.
They’re already working with some of the most sophisticated enterprises in business & technology, but are still early enough that the next generation of sales hires will have meaningful influence over how the commercial organisation develops.
The ambition is significant.
They’re scaling the sales team aggressively & want people capable of becoming future top performers, senior AEs & commercial leaders as the organisation grows.
The opportunity
This role sits between strategic enterprise solution selling & high-value commercial sales.
The customer journey often looks like:
enterprise discovery → initial deployment → measurable ROI → major commercial expansion
Rather than spending 9–12 months navigating procurement before anything happens, customers can begin relatively quickly, prove value through adoption & expand significantly from there.
You’ll work directly with:
- Enterprise executives
- Commercial strategy teams
- Marketing leadership
- Finance & operations teams
- C-suite decision-makers
You don’t need to be a financial expert.
But you should genuinely enjoy learning complex products & be comfortable holding your own with senior enterprise customers.
The role
You’ll own new business across Fortune 500 & high-growth enterprise companies.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Building & owning your pipeline
- Prospecting into major enterprise companies
- Running discovery with senior commercial, strategy & finance leaders
- Understanding customer challenges, operational workflows & commercial requirements
- Managing the full sales cycle from first conversation through signature
- Driving enterprise evaluations alongside internal product teams
- Creating urgency & maintaining deal momentum
- Identifying adoption & performance signals that can drive expansion
- Multi-threading senior & executive stakeholders
- Closing new logos
- Helping shape messaging, GTM process & sales playbooks
- Becoming a trusted commercial partner to senior enterprise customers
This is a sales role first.
You’re still expected to prospect, negotiate, close & carry a number.
The difference is that the product - and the people buying it — are considerably more strategic than traditional SaaS.
What we’re looking for
Ideally 5+ years of experience selling enterprise products.
You’ll ideally have:
- 5+ years of quota-carrying closing experience
- Consistent quota attainment
- Strong new-logo hunting experience
- Self-sourced pipeline experience
- Experience selling to marketing, commercial, strategy or enterprise teams
- Experience managing complex enterprise evaluations
- Strong commercial instincts
- The ability to operate independently
- Comfort working in an ambitious, fast-changing environment
- Genuine curiosity about technology & enterprise transformation
You’ll stand out if
- You’ve sold complex enterprise platforms into Fortune 500 organisations.
- You can comfortably discuss commercia…
