Media Concierge is looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Manager to oversee day-to-day accounts payable operations and manage our small Purchase Ledger Team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical, organised approach. You’ll be confident managing priorities, resolving queries and keeping the function running accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision.

Media Concierge brings together a diverse portfolio of media businesses. As the group continues to grow, our finance team plays an essential role in supporting its operations, maintaining effective controls and building strong supplier relationships.

The role

You’ll take responsibility for the purchase ledger function, ensuring invoices are processed correctly, suppliers are paid on time, and records are accurate and up to date. Alongside managing and developing the team, you’ll remain actively involved in the day-to-day workload.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing high-volume invoice processing, the accounts payable inbox and supplier queries.
• Supervising, supporting and reviewing the work of the team.
• Overseeing supplier account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
• Managing supplier setup and changes, ensuring appropriate checks and controls.
• Preparing and reviewing payment runs and ad-hoc payments for approval.
• Ensuring payments are posted promptly and accurately matched to invoices.
• Managing purchase ledger month-end activities, reconciliations and reporting.
• Identifying improvements to processes, systems and financial controls.

About you

You’ll bring proven purchase ledger or accounts payable experience, including responsibility for managing the function and supervising or supporting colleagues.

We’re looking for:

• General accounting knowledge or management of contracts would be preferable, or significant experience of working closely with the wider finance team.
• Experience working in a busy, high-volume finance environment.
• A sound understanding of purchase ledger controls, invoice coding and VAT treatment.
• Strong reconciliation skills, attention to detail and the confidence to investigate and resolve issues.
• Good Excel skills and confidence using finance systems; DB Capture experience would be beneficial.
• Clear communication skills and a professional approach to suppliers and colleagues.
• The ability to organise your own workload, meet deadlines and take ownership with minimal supervision.
