Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a Structural Revit Designer to support the design and modeling of complex industrial and high-tech facilities. This role will focus heavily on structural steel, pipe support systems, and multidisciplinary coordination within environments containing extensive process piping and utility infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong Revit Structural experience and a background supporting semiconductor, data center, power generation, oil & gas, manufacturing, or similar industrial projects.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in structural design, drafting, or BIM modeling for industrial, manufacturing, or highly technical facilities
- Advanced proficiency with Revit Structural and structural modeling workflows
- Experience modeling structural steel, pipe supports, equipment supports, and related structural systems
- Knowledge of steel and concrete structural design concepts and construction documentation
- Experience producing structural plans, sections, details, schedules, and construction drawings
- Ability to interpret engineering sketches, calculations, markups, and redlines and accurately incorporate them into Revit models
- Experience coordinating with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), Process Piping, Controls, and other engineering disciplines
- Previous project experience supporting facilities with significant process piping infrastructure such as:
- Semiconductor / Chip Manufacturing Facilities
- Data Centers
- Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Facilities
- Power Generation Plants
- Advanced Manufacturing and Industrial Facilities
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed Revit Structural models for industrial and high-tech facility projects
- Create structural models for pipe supports, structural steel framing, concrete foundations, equipment supports, and related systems
- Produce construction drawings including plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules
- Collaborate with Structural Engineers and project teams to implement design changes and project requirements
- Coordinate structural designs with process piping, mechanical, electrical, controls, plumbing, and architectural disciplines
- Support both new construction and facility expansion/renovation projects
- Participate in model reviews and ensure compliance with project BIM standards and deliverables
- Assist with interdisciplinary coordination and clash resolution efforts throughout project execution
- Support project teams from conceptual design through construction documentation phases
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate Degree, Technical Diploma, or Certification in Structural Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, BIM, CAD, Drafting, or related discipline
- Experience with Navisworks for model coordination and clash detection
- Experience utilizing laser-scanned point clouds for existing-condition modeling
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Experience developing fabrication-level (LOD 400) models and drawing packages
- Experience creating custom Revit families, parametric content, and BIM standards
- Familiarity with managing and coordinating linked Revit models in multidisciplinary project environments
- Experience participating in 30%, 60%, and 90% design/model review milestones
Ideal Background
This position is ideal for a Structural Revit Designer who enjoys working on complex industrial infrastructure and has experience supporting projects involving structural steel, pipe support systems, and process-intensive facilities. Candidates with experience in semiconductor fabs, data centers, power generation, manufacturing, or oil & gas environments will be highly successful in this role.
