Civil Designer – Land Development

ABOUT THE ROLE

F5 Global Talent is hiring an experienced Civil Designer – Land Development to produce complete civil site plans for U.S. residential and multifamily projects.

You’ll work heavily in Autodesk Civil 3D, taking survey data, architectural plans, and engineering markups and turning them into construction-ready site plans covering grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and related site infrastructure.

This is a civil design role — not basic CAD drafting. You’ll be expected to understand the engineering behind the drawings, perform calculations, make design decisions, and develop coordinated plan sets with limited supervision.

This is a full-time, remote role for candidates based in India, working approximately 6:30 PM–3:30 AM IST .

IMPORTANT

We’re looking for someone with 5+ years of hands-on civil site design experience , ideally focused on residential or multifamily land development.

Strong Civil 3D skills and a portfolio of civil site plans you personally produced are required. U.S. project experience is strongly preferred.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Build Civil 3D surfaces from survey and topographic data

• Prepare site grading plans with proposed elevations, contours, slopes, swales, driveways, parking areas, sidewalks, and accessible routes

• Perform drainage-area delineation and pre- and post-development runoff calculations

• Design stormwater management systems including detention, retention, infiltration, and related storage calculations

• Design storm-drain networks including pipe sizing, slopes, inlets, catch basins, culverts, and outlets

• Lay out water and sanitary sewer utilities and prepare profiles where required

• Calculate cut-and-fill and earthwork quantities

• Prepare complete civil construction documents including site plans, grading and drainage plans, utility plans, profiles, sections, notes, and details

• Interpret surveys, architectural drawings, and engineering markups

• Incorporate review comments and manage drawing revisions

• Coordinate with engineers, architects, surveyors, structural engineers, and utility consultants

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 5+ years of professional civil site design or land-development experience

• Strong hands-on Autodesk Civil 3D experience

• Experience with surfaces, contours, feature lines, grading, profiles, and earthwork calculations

• Site grading and drainage-design experience

• Stormwater-management design experience

• Storm-drainage network design experience

• Water and sanitary sewer utility-layout experience

• Experience preparing complete civil construction-document sets

• Ability to interpret topographic surveys, architectural plans, and engineering markups

• Experience performing runoff and cut-and-fill calculations

• Ability to work independently and handle design revisions with limited supervision

• Strong written and spoken English

• Portfolio showing civil site plans you personally produced

NICE TO HAVE

• Direct experience on U.S. land-development projects

• New York project experience

• Familiarity with New York stormwater and site-development requirements

• Hydrologic and hydraulic calculation experience

• Residential subdivision, single-family, or multifamily site-development experience

• Familiarity with U.S. civil engineering and construction-documentation standards

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field
