Our managed package helps clients bring recruiting, sales, workflow management, integrations and operational processes into one connected environment. As the product expands, we are adding more automation, AI supported workflows and enterprise capabilities for staffing firms, hospitals, physician groups and other service-driven organizations.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a senior Salesforce developer who combines strong hands-on engineering skills with the judgment

and communication ability to lead the technical side of client engagements. This person will work across client implementations, managed-package development and Assist’s internal product roadmap.

The right candidate can translate business needs into practical technical solutions, communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and remain close to the code. This role offers meaningful room to grow into technical, product or engineering leadership as Assist and its platform continue to scale.

What you will do

Client technical leadership

• Lead technical discovery sessions and ongoing project meetings for complex client initiatives.
• Translate client requirements into scalable solution designs that balance managed-package capabilities, configuration and client-specific development.
• Own the technical portions of statements of work and contribute to scope, effort estimates, assumptions, dependencies and delivery plans.
• Explain technical decisions, risks and tradeoffs clearly to client leaders, project managers and internal stakeholders.

Salesforce development and integration s

• Design, build, test and maintain solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, Flow and declarative Salesforce configuration.
• Build and support Salesforce-to-Salesforce integrations and connections to external platforms, including accounting, payroll, VMS, job board and business systems.
• Develop resilient REST integrations with appropriate authentication, error handling, logging, monitoring andretry patterns.
• Plan and execute data migrations, data cleanup and go-live cutovers for client implementations.

Product and managed-package development

• Contribute to the design, development, testing and release of Assist’s managed package across a growing base of client organizations.
• Help evolve Assist’s internal product in partnership with product leadership, developers and client-facing teams.
• Evaluate and build practical AI-supported capabilities, agents and workflow automations where they create measurable value for users.
• Design solutions that can be upgraded and supported across many client environments while allowing forappropriate client-specific extensions.

Team contribution and delivery

• Provide code reviews, technical guidance and mentoring to less-experienced developers.
• Maintain strong documentation and track project work in Assist’s internal Salesforce project-management tools.
• Participate in release planning, testing, production support and continuous improvement of development standards.

What we are looking for

Professional experience

• Six or more years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
• At least two years in a client-facing consulting, implementation or technical-lead role.
• Experience taking projects from discovery and solution design through development, testing, deployment and support.

Salesforce engineering

• Advanced Apex skills, including triggers, Queueable, Batch and Scheduled Apex, SOQL, SOSL and governor- limit management.
• Strong Lightning Web Components and JavaScript development skills.
• Experience with Flow, declarative configuration and Experience Cloud.
• Ability to write meaningful test classes and build within Salesforce security requirements, including sharing, CRUD and field-level security.
• Experience with SFDX, scratch organizations, source control and GitHub-based development workflows.

Integrations, packages and data

• REST API callouts from Apex, inbound Apex REST services, OAuth, Named Credentials and External Credentials.
• Understanding of managed-package versioning, upgrades and the relationship between package functionality and client-specific customization.
