About TinyBooks
TinyBooks makes premium hardcover travel photobooks and coffee table books. Our customers send us photos from their trips and milestones, and our design team turns them into books they’ll keep for life. We’re a small, close-knit team, so you’ll work directly with the founders and senior designers, and your work will go out into the world every week.
About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented junior designer who loves typography, layout and print. You’ll mainly design cover options for customer albums and prepare final, print-ready files for our printing partners. If you get excited about the difference between a good cover and a great one, and you like getting the small things right you’ll do well here.
What You’ll Do
- Design 5-6 cover options for each customer album, based on their photos, trip and preferences
- Make revisions to covers based on customer feedback, quickly and carefully
- Prepare print-ready files: With correct spine width and resolution (300 DPI)
- Pre-flight every file before it goes to print, catching low-res images, text too close to the edge, wrong page counts and spelling errors
- Do basic photo edits like cropping, straightening, and colour and exposure correction
- Use and help grow our library of cover and layout templates
- Coordinate with the design team so files are handed off on time
- Join our weekly design feedback session and apply what you learn
What We’re Looking For
- Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Visual Arts or similar (2025/2026 graduates welcome)
- Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Canva
- A strong sense of typography, layout and colour
- Basic understanding of print: bleed, CMYK vs RGB, DPI, file export settings (training will be given)
- Very good attention to detail. A single typo on a cover is a reprint.
- Able to take feedback well and handle several projects at once
- Good written and spoken English
Good to Have
- Experience designing book covers, magazines, wedding albums or other print work
- Interest in travel photography or editorial design
- An internship at a print, publishing or design studio
What You’ll Get
- Hands-on experience in end-to-end print production, a skill many designers never get to learn properly
- Mentorship and weekly feedback from senior designers
- Your work in real, printed books in customers’ homes
- A small, friendly team where you’ll learn quickly and take ownership early
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
Benefits:
- Paid time off
- Work from home
