About the Role:
Synergy Business Innovation & Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support the delivery, deployment, security, and operational sustainment of a mission-critical enterprise application environment. The DevOps Engineer will design, implement, maintain, and continuously improve automated software delivery pipelines, infrastructure configuration processes, platform monitoring, and operational tooling.
The successful candidate will work closely with application developers, system administrators, cybersecurity personnel, database administrators, quality assurance specialists, and customer stakeholders to enable reliable and secure application releases. This position requires hands-on expertise with CI/CD pipeline development, source-code management, automated testing, infrastructure automation, containerization, system monitoring, and secure software delivery practices.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem solver who can balance speed, quality, security, and operational stability while supporting Java-based enterprise applications and associated platform services in a controlled environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, maintain, and optimize Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for enterprise applications, services, integrations, and platform components.
- Automate build, test, security scanning, packaging, deployment, rollback, and release-validation activities across development, test, staging, and production environments.
- Develop and maintain pipeline-as-code using approved automation and orchestration tools.
- Integrate automated unit, integration, regression, performance, and security testing into the software delivery lifecycle.
- Establish and maintain automated deployment procedures that promote consistency, traceability, repeatability, and rapid recovery.
- Support release planning, deployment scheduling, production readiness reviews, and post-implementation validation activities.
- Incorporate secure software development and DevSecOps practices throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Integrate and maintain automated security tools for static application security testing (SAST), dynamic application security testing (DAST), software composition analysis (SCA), secrets detection, vulnerability scanning, and container-image scanning.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to remediate vulnerabilities, manage security findings, implement approved security controls, and maintain evidence required for continuous monitoring and audit activities.
- Implement secure credential-management practices, including the controlled use of service accounts, secrets vaults, certificates, encryption keys, and environment-specific configuration.
- Support security configuration compliance, patching, system-hardening activities, and applicable government security requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field; additional relevant experience may be substituted for a degree…
