Fully Remote Contractor engagement

Innovo Data LLP is seeking a Shopify Developer to build, customise and maintain e-commerce stores for client projects. We are looking for someone with practical Shopify development experience, strong frontend skills and the ability to translate business requirements into reliable, user-friendly shopping experiences.

What you’ll do

• Build and customise Shopify themes using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Develop reusable sections and templates using Shopify Online Store 2.0.
• Integrate Shopify apps and third-party services.
• Configure product catalogues, collections, navigation and metafields.
• Improve store speed, mobile usability and accessibility.
• Troubleshoot theme, app and integration issues.
• Test changes across devices and browsers before release.
• Collaborate with designers and project teams, maintaining clear technical documentation.

What we’re looking for

• Professional experience developing and maintaining Shopify stores.
• Strong knowledge of Liquid, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Hands-on experience with Online Store 2.0, theme architecture and the Shopify CLI.
• Experience working with Shopify APIs, particularly GraphQL, and webhooks.
• Understanding of responsive design, technical SEO and e-commerce user journeys.
• Familiarity with Git and structured testing.
• Clear communication and the ability to work independently in a remote team.

Desirable experience

• Shopify Plus and Shopify Functions.
• Custom Shopify app development.
• Headless commerce using Hydrogen and React.
• Integrations with CRM, ERP, payment, fulfilment or marketing platforms.
• Store migrations and conversion optimisation.

Engagement details

• Remote contractor role.
• Fee agreed according to experience and project scope.
• Immediate or early availability preferred.
