Part-Time Content Creator & Marketing Assistant

Company: London Content Haus (LCH)
Location: Bedfordshire / Hertfordshire (Hybrid)
Job type: Part-time, Zero-hours contract
Pay: £13 per hour
Hours: Approximately 5 hours per week initially, with no guaranteed hours
Working arrangement: Approximately 60% remote, 40% on-site

About London Content Haus

London Content Haus is a boutique creative and social media agency working with brands across hospitality, beauty, lifestyle and other industries.

We specialise in content creation, social media management, photography, videography and creative campaigns.

We’re looking for a creative, confident and enthusiastic individual with a genuine interest in marketing and social media to join our team on a flexible, part-time basis.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys creating content, loves being involved in shoots and is just as comfortable in front of the camera as they are behind it.

It’s particularly suited to someone looking for flexible work alongside university, freelancing or other commitments.

What you’ll be doing

Your primary responsibilities will involve content creation, video editing and assisting with shoots, alongside other marketing and administrative tasks.

  • On-camera content: Appearing in Instagram Reels, TikToks and other social media content for LCH and our clients. This may include speaking directly to the camera, presenting products, participating in trends and helping bring creative concepts to life.
  • Video editing: Editing engaging short-form videos using CapCut or similar software.
  • Content shoots: Assisting with filming, photography, lighting, equipment setup and behind-the-scenes content.
  • Creative planning: Contributing ideas for social media campaigns, content concepts and upcoming shoots.
  • Social media support: Helping with captions, scheduling, content preparation and simple Canva designs.
  • Marketing assistance: Supporting email communications, research, campaign coordination and occasional administrative tasks.
  • Content organisation: Managing footage, files and creative assets to keep projects organised.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys social media, has an interest in marketing and isn’t afraid to get creative.

Essential requirements:

  • Confident and comfortable speaking and appearing on camera.
  • Good short-form video editing skills, particularly using CapCut or similar software.
  • A genuine interest in social media, content creation, branding and digital marketing.
  • An understanding of Instagram Reels, TikTok and current content trends.
  • Comfortable filming content using a smartphone or camera.
  • Creative, organised and able to work independently.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Based in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire or a nearby area, with the ability to attend shoots when required.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Previous experience creating content for a business or personal social media account.
  • Experience using Canva.
  • Basic photography or videography skills.
  • Experience with social media management or marketing campaigns.
  • Studying or holding a qualification in marketing, media, communications or a related subject.

You don’t need years of professional experience. We’re more interested in your creativity, confidence, editing ability and willingness to learn.

Location and working arrangements

This is a hybrid role, with approximately 60% of work completed remotely and 40% involving on-site shoots or client projects.

Applicants should be based in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire or nearby, as some shoots will require travel within these areas and occasionally to London.

On-site attendance will be arranged in advance wherever possible. Work-related travel expenses will be agreed beforehand.

Hours and pay

This is a flexible, part-time position on a zero-hours contract, paid at £13 per hour.

We anticipate approximately five hours of work per week initially, depending on project requirements. However, hours are not guaranteed, and there may be weeks when no work is available.

The workload may increase as the agency grows.

This opportunity is best suited to someone looking for supplementary income and practical experience in a creative marketing environment, rather than guaranteed weekly hours.

How to apply

Please submit your CV and examples of your content creation or video editing work.

As appearing on camera is part of this role, we’d als…
