Overview

Our client is seeking a DevOps Engineer with Ariba Procurement knowledge to support the design, development, implementation, testing, and maintenance of enterprise software applications and systems. This individual will play a key role in enhancing existing applications, troubleshooting technical issues, and developing software solutions that meet business and operational requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science, software development, and system troubleshooting, along with hands-on knowledge of Ariba Procurement. This position requires someone who can collaborate with technical teams, analyze system requirements, and contribute to software implementation and improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business applications and software solutions
• Support software development and enhancement projects involving enterprise systems and applications
• Gather and analyze system requirements, document technical specifications, and develop solutions to meet business needs
• Review enhancement requests and implement software improvements based on functional and technical requirements
• Configure, customize, and maintain system software to support business operations
• Develop detailed software specifications, test plans, and supporting technical documentation
• Write, modify, and maintain application code while ensuring adherence to development standards
• Perform unit testing, troubleshoot application issues, and resolve defects in new and existing systems
• Create migration packages to support system testing, user acceptance testing, and production implementations
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and post-implementation validation to ensure system functionality and reliability
• Collaborate with technical teams to identify opportunities for software optimization and process improvements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
• 10+ years of experience in software development, DevOps engineering, or a related technical role
• Ariba Procurement knowledge is required
• Strong foundation in computer science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and software design
• Understanding of software development, implementation, and maintenance processes
• Experience with programming, application troubleshooting, and problem diagnosis
• Ability to perform unit testing and troubleshoot both new and legacy production systems
• Familiarity with system requirements analysis, technical documentation, and software testing methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate with technical teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders
• U.S. Citizenship required
