Steps AI builds AI agents that run sales and support conversations for businesses on website chat, WhatsApp and Instagram, and now on phone calls through AI voice agents. Our team generates a strong flow of meetings. We’re hiring an experienced closer to turn the high-value ones into revenue.

The role

You’ll own the chat AI sales cycle for mid-market and enterprise accounts, from discovery to signed contract. You’ll work with the companies our SDR and ABM team bring in, and with accounts you source yourself. You’ll also become the team’s go-to expert on selling conversational AI.

What you’ll do

• Take qualified meetings through to close: discovery, use-case mapping, demos, pilots, proposals, negotiation and contract
• Build ROI cases around conversion lift, cart recovery, support ticket reduction and response times
• Sell to Heads of CX, Growth, E-commerce, Digital and Marketing, and CXOs, at D2C, e-commerce, retail, edtech, BFSI and consumer brands
• Run pilots with clear success measures and turn them into annual contracts
• Handle integration questions (Shopify, CRMs, helpdesks, WhatsApp Business API) with support from the product team
• Look for chances to sell our voice AI agents to chatbot customers
• Keep pipeline and forecasts accurate in the CRM
• Coach SDRs on discovery and handling objections for conversational AI deals

What we’re looking for

• 3–5 years in B2B SaaS sales, with at least 2 years as an AE closing deals
• Has sold chatbots, conversational AI, WhatsApp Business solutions, CX or helpdesk SaaS
• A record of closing high-value deals (₹5L+ / $10K+ ACV) and meeting quota, with numbers you can show
• Understands how D2C and e-commerce brands make money and where their customer experience loses sales
• Has run multi-month sales cycles with several decision-makers
• Has sold to Indian companies; experience with US/UK buyers is a strong plus
• Strong at presenting and negotiating with senior executives
• Based in Hyderabad or willing to relocate, and comfortable working on-site from our office
• Has sold to Shopify Plus brands or into the US/UK e-commerce market
