Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer for a key project . The primary focus of this role will be supporting and developing applications for Composite Reservoir Accounts (CRA) within a financial and accounting operational framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe application systems supporting Composite Reservoir Accounts (CRA) for the Treasurer’s Office.
• Write, test, and debug high-performing JCL (Job Control Language) scripts and batch jobs.
• Work with legacy database structures, managing data retrieval and updates using Adabas / VSAM .
• Ensure system stability, data integrity, and compliance with financial/accounting policies and procedures.
• Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver project goals within estimated timelines.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Mainframe Environment: Hands-on experience working in a z/OS mainframe environment.
• Core Technical Stack: Proficiency in JCL , Adabas , and VSAM .
• Domain Expertise: Experience in a financial, accounting, or state treasury/government environment.
• Project Experience: Proven track record in project-based mainframe software development.
• Communication: Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience

• Prior experience working on state agency or public sector projects.
• Familiarity with financial systems integration and banking/accounting workflows.
