Java Backend Developer with Gen AI Experience

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong expertise in building scalable enterprise applications using Java, Kafka, and Generative AI technologies. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing and developing distributed systems, integrating AI/LLM solutions into enterprise applications, and working in cloud-native environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java-based applications.
• Build scalable microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
• Develop and manage real-time data streaming solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Integrate Generative AI solutions and Large Language Models (LLMs) into business applications.
• Create APIs and services for AI-powered applications and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
• Ensure adherence to software development best practices and security standards.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Java 8/11/17.
• Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate.
• Experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures and messaging systems.

• Practical experience with Generative AI technologies, including:

• Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Prompt Engineering
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• AI Model Integration through APIs

• LangChain / Similar AI Frameworks

• Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Vector Databases (Pinecone, ChromaDB, Weaviate, etc.).
• Exposure to AI application development and deployment.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7 to 10 years of software development experience, with recent hands-on experience in GenAI and Kafka implementations.
