Senior Interior Designer

Role Description The Senior Interior Designer is a part-time, remote role responsible for leading the design and planning of interior spaces across commercial and/or residential projects. Day-to-day tasks include developing conceptual designs, creating space plans, and preparing detailed drawings and documentation that align with project requirements and building standards. The role involves coordinating FF&E selections, collaborating with architects, contractors, and vendors, and ensuring design intent is maintained through all project phases. The Senior Interior Designer will also review construction documents, provide design guidance to junior team members, and communicate with stakeholders to manage project timelines and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills to develop functional, aesthetically cohesive environments.
• Candidates should possess Architecture and Construction Drawings expertise to create and review technical plans and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Candidates should possess FF&E knowledge to select, specify, and coordinate furniture, fixtures, and equipment that support the design concept and budget.
• Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, as well as professional certification or licensure where applicable.
• Proficiency with design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar), and strong visual presentation skills.
• Demonstrated experience in managing interior design projects, effective remote collaboration, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail, familiarity with building codes and accessibility standards, and the ability to work independently in a part-time remote capacity.
