Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications and data-processing solutions using Scala.
- Develop large-scale data processing pipelines using Scala and Apache Spark.
- Build and maintain cloud-based data solutions on AWS.
- Work with large volumes of structured and semi-structured data.
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Write efficient SQL queries for data transformation and processing.
- Optimize Scala/Spark applications for performance and scalability.
- Troubleshoot application, data pipeline, and production issues.
- Implement reusable, maintainable, and high-quality code.
- Collaborate with architects, data engineers, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
Preferred candidate profile
- 612 years of overall IT experience.
- Strong hands-on development experience with Scala.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Experience working with Apache Spark and large-scale data-processing applications.
- Strong understanding of SQL and data engineering concepts.
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
