Software Engineer III, Android - Cal AI

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer III, Android - Cal AI to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This remote role will focus on building and enhancing native Android experiences that help users engage with health and wellness tools in a seamless, intuitive way. You will collaborate closely with design, UI, and cross-functional partners to deliver polished mobile features that improve performance, usability, and reliability. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical depth, thoughtful engineering judgment, and a collaborative mindset to help turn ambitious product ideas into elegant mobile solutions.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $135,000 – $165,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and UI teams to implement native mobile interfaces
• Enhance user experience by optimizing UI, data storage, and network communications
• Independently develop and deliver high-quality features
• Research and implement technical solutions to meet business goals
• Provide thought leadership on design, testing, security, and deployment best practices
• Coach team members to foster team success
• Work with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems
• Transform big ideas into simple, elegant solutions

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience building applications in Swift for iOS in an Agile environment
• Proficient in writing unit tests and testable code
• Experience with multithreaded programming
• Comfortable working with RESTful APIs
• Substantial experience with Git in a team setting
• Experience with relational databases
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes
• Strong communication skills
• Passionate about mentoring junior developers
• Demonstrates kindness and empathy
