Survey Quality Assistant

Proofline helps businesses prepare online customer feedback surveys. We’re hiring a Survey Quality Assistant to test questionnaires before launch and document issues for our project team.

This is a quality assurance position. You’ll review survey functionality and presentation rather than recruit respondents or make research conclusions.

What you’ll test

Does each answer lead to the correct next question? Are instructions clear? Does the survey work on both desktop and mobile?

Using an approved test plan, you’ll check:

• Question text, spelling, formatting, and answer choices.
• Required fields and validation messages.
• Branching rules and question display conditions.
• Progress indicators and completion screens.
• Links, images, and mobile layouts.
• Test response exports against the questionnaire structure.

You’ll document issues with screenshots and reproducible steps, then retest corrections. Changes to question wording or research methodology require approval from the project lead.

The experience we need

At least one year of experience in quality assurance, administrative review, data checking, customer support, or a similar detail-focused role.

You should be comfortable following checklists, working with spreadsheets, and explaining a problem clearly. Experience with survey software is helpful but not required.

A college degree is not required. Training on our testing process and tools is provided.

The employment offer

The hourly rate is $24–$28, based on relevant experience. This is a full-time, overtime-eligible employee position with no commission component.

Working hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Eastern Time, including a 30-minute meal period, for 40 working hours per week.

The role is fully remote within New York State. No travel is required. We provide a company laptop, required software, and paid onboarding.
