Senior QA Engineer (AI-Driven Test Automation)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer to lead test automation for our enterprise SaaS platform. The product is mature and well established, with a strong user base and an experienced team of senior developers. You will own the automation effort end to end, using AI extensively to design, generate, and maintain the test suite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build the automation framework and test suite, covering existing features and new development.
• Define the automation strategy and roadmap based on business requirements and decide what to automate first.
• Use AI tools to generate test cases, test data, and automation scripts at scale.
• Build AI-assisted workflows for test scenario creation, failure triage, and self-healing tests.
• Set up automated integration and regression testing to keep releases stable.
• Integrate the suite into CI/CD so tests run on every release.
• Build comprehensive test scenarios for new developments and edge cases.
• Analyses application logs to reproduce complex issues, using AI to speed up pattern finding.
• Help developers understand and reproduce reported issues and track bug fixes through to resolution.
• Take ownership of urgent tickets and critical production issues.
• Conduct performance and load testing to assess system reliability.
• Provide guidance on testing strategy and quality assurance best practices.
• Mentor and guide other testers as the team moves toward automation.

Required Skills:

• Strong track record of designing and delivering test automation frameworks and suites.
• Hands-on, day-to-day use of AI tools (LLM assistants, AI coding tools) for test design and automation.
• Strong experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar) and API testing.
• Ability to introduce and scale automation in a structured way.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience testing SaaS applications.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and sprint-based development.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to suggest process improvements that shorten testing cycles.
• Experience testing retail-facing products such as POS systems, eCommerce platforms, or inventory management solutions is a plus.
