Senior Full Stack Developer

The skills they need

They’re looking for a technically strong senior developer with at least six years of commercial experience in React and TypeScript , and six years of solid C# . You’ll need a good understanding of microservice design principles, ideally from commercial experience, and confidence with modern Git workflows. Just as important is how you work: they want someone who delivers early results quickly and iterates on feedback, makes pragmatic decisions and fails fast when something isn’t working, understands project goals in depth, and genuinely cares about writing high-quality, tested code. Experience with Next.js, GraphQL, Docker and Kubernetes on Azure, Vercel, RabbitMQ, microfrontends or test-driven development is a bonus, but the team is happy to train you in the rest. A willingness to mentor junior developers is essential.

About the role

You’ll join the Web Development team, which also looks after systems for Customer Experience and Customer Service, working on a mix of internal services and public-facing applications across cloud, data centre and modern edge and serverless environments. The work is a blend of greenfield projects and improving existing systems, mostly using C#, SQL Server, Next.js, React and TypeScript, across both monolithic and microservices architectures, with plenty of integration with third-party APIs and SaaS platforms. The business invests heavily in its in-house technology team, which is organised into product-based teams that use Kanban and focus on continuous delivery. It’s a genuinely collaborative culture, with a strong code review culture, occasional pair programming and lots of unit testing, and the role is fully remote.
