React/Typescript frontend Developer/Contractor

About the Role

We’re hiring talent developers to join our client’s team building a trading platform web application. You’ll work primarily on their React/TypeScript front-end , with regular collaboration on the Java back-end . This is a front-end-focused role - strong backend skills are a significant plus, not a requirement.

*** We have multiple openings fully remote and long term contract (possibility to convert after one year)

What You’ll Do

· Build and maintain features in our React/TypeScript front-end application (components, pages,

hooks, state management)

· Collaborate with backend engineers on REST API contracts, DTOs, and data flow between

frontend and Java services

· Contribute to Java backend services when features require backend endpoint or service

changes

· Write and maintain automated tests (Jest, React Testing Library)

· Participate in code review, design discussions, and iterative delivery in a fast-moving trading

environment

Required Experience

· Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript (3-5+ years)

· Experience building responsive, accessible UI components and page layouts

· Comfortable working with REST APIs and consuming backend services from a frontend app

· Familiarity with modern frontend tooling (Webpack, npm/yarn, Jest)

· Solid understanding of Git-based workflows and code review practices

Nice to Have

· Backend experience with Java , especially REST endpoint development, service layers, and

JAX-RS/Jetty-based applications

· Exposure to Spring (IoC/DI, @Configuration/@Bean style) in a non-Spring-Boot context

· Experience with financial/trading systems or other low-latency, high-reliability domains

· Familiarity with SQL/relational databases (e.g., Aurora/MySQL) and ORM-free query builders

· Experience with Angular or Mithril.js (legacy pages) is a bonus but not expected

Soft Requirements

· Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar

tools) integrated into your daily coding workflow — using AI to accelerate implementation, testing,

and debugging

· Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with backend, QA, and product

teams

· Self-motivated with a bias toward shipping working, well-tested code
