Customer Service & Outreach Assistant — Part-Time, Remote

BJ Moving helps customers throughout the Dallas–Denton area with labor-only moving help and full-service moves. We’re hiring a dependable, friendly assistant to answer moving inquiries, follow up with potential customers, and build referral relationships with local businesses.

Pay: $18 per hour
Schedule: 10 hours per week, generally two hours each weekday during agreed daytime hours, Central Time.
Location: Remote within Texas
Training: Paid

What You’ll Do

• Answer incoming calls, texts and emails during your scheduled shift.
• Collect moving details, including contact information, moving dates, pickup and delivery addresses, stairs, large items and service needs.
• Make outbound cold calls to realtors, apartment communities, storage facilities and new-home development sales offices.
• Introduce BJ Moving and ask about opportunities to become a moving referral resource.
• Follow up with interested contacts and customers who requested estimates.
• Explain approved services, starting rates and promotions using company guidelines.
• Coordinate quote requests and tentative scheduling with the owner. Final pricing and crew availability require owner approval.
• Keep accurate notes in a shared lead tracker, including conversations, next steps and follow-up dates.
• Honor requests to stop contact and maintain the company’s do-not-contact list.
• Provide a brief weekly update on outreach, inquiries and booking opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

• Clear, professional phone communication and strong listening skills.
• Comfort making cold calls and handling rejection respectfully.
• Reliable follow-through, accurate notes and good organization.
• Ability to use email, shared calendars and spreadsheets.
• Reliable internet, a computer and a quiet place to take calls.
• Availability during agreed weekday business hours.

Customer service, appointment-setting, sales or cold-calling experience is preferred. Moving-industry experience is helpful but not required.

This is a phone and administrative position; no moving labor is required. Incoming-call coverage is limited to scheduled paid shifts. Additional hours may become available as business grows, but are not guaranteed.
