Senior Engineering Lead, AI Data Center Build

US (Dallas preferred, remote considered) · Full-time · Periodic international travel

About the opportunity

The program delivers gigawatt-scale AI capacity: next-generation Nvidia GPU clusters, dedicated green energy and seawater-desalination cooling. The Senior Engineering Lead turns approved designs into energized, commissioned capacity on schedule.

What you will own

1. Engineering delivery — MEP, electrical and cooling systems from design review through construction, commissioning and handover.
2. Power systems — HV/MV substations, transformers, switchgear, UPS, gensets and BESS; grid and renewable tie-in.
3. Cooling systems — liquid cooling plants, CDUs, chillers, heat rejection and desalinated seawater cooling loops.
4. Commissioning — integrated systems testing L1–L5, punch-list closure and operational readiness with the operations team.
5. EPC and vendor management — lead EPC contractors, MEP subcontractors and OEMs; long-lead equipment procurement and factory acceptance testing.
6. Schedule, cost and quality — own engineering milestones, change control, QA/QC and risk registers.
7. Safety and compliance — NFPA 70E, OSHA, NEC and local code compliance across sites.
8. Continuous improvement — feed lessons learned back into reference designs with the architecture team.

What you bring

Must have

• 10+ years in mission-critical engineering: data centers, power generation or heavy industrial
• Delivered at least one 20 MW+ facility end to end through L5 commissioning
• Deep electrical and mechanical systems knowledge; liquid-cooling exposure since 2023
• Managed EPC contractors and OEMs on $100M+ programs
• US-based; open to periodic international travel

Strong plus

• AI/GPU hall delivery at 50+ kW/rack
• HV substation or utility interconnect experience
• Renewable or BESS integration
• Seawater, desalination or industrial water-cooling systems
• PE license; CxA or equivalent commissioning certification; PMP
