Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Backend Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The Backend Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that power BLVDPay’s fintech and crypto ecosystem. Responsibilities include architecting and implementing secure, high-performance services, integrating with third-party providers, and optimizing data models and databases. The role involves collaborating closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA to deliver new features, improve existing functionality, and resolve production issues. The engineer will also participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and help improve development processes, reliability, and security practices across the backend stack.

Qualifications

• Strong Back-End Development skills, including building RESTful APIs, working with databases, and designing scalable services.
• Solid Software Development experience, including debugging, testing, and maintaining production systems.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and understanding of design patterns and clean code principles.
• Programming expertise in Java
• Familiarity with Front-End Development concepts and how backend services support web and mobile clients.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of security best practices, authentication/authorization, and data protection in fintech or similar regulated environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Bengaluru, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and take ownership of deliverables.
• Experience in fintech, payments, or crypto platforms is a strong plus.
