Job Description
Build things people actually want to use.
We’re building ClearFrame for people who have an idea and want to turn it into working software. It brings AI coding agents, previews and change review into one workspace, so builders can try things, see what works and recover when something goes wrong.
Take a look at what we’re building: https://clearframecode.com/
We’re looking for a software engineer who enjoys that whole process: getting a rough idea into shape, building the first version, finding the awkward parts and making it better.
You’ll use ClearFrame to build practical applications and example projects, test how the agents perform, and help us improve the experience for the next person. Some days that means shipping a useful feature. Other days it means tracking down a stubborn bug or explaining a workflow so clearly that someone else can follow it.
What you’ll work on
-
Build small applications, integrations and working examples from real project briefs.
-
Review AI-generated code, test important user flows and fix what breaks.
-
Turn product friction into clear, reproducible issues and practical improvements.
-
Create short demos and guides based on things you’ve actually built.
-
Bring a builder’s perspective to decisions about the product.
You’ll probably enjoy this role if
-
You’ve built working software and can talk through the decisions behind it.
-
You can debug a problem and explain how you know the fix worked.
-
You’re curious about AI coding tools without treating their output as automatically correct.
-
You like owning a small project from an incomplete brief to a usable result.
-
You communicate clearly and are comfortable sharing work in progress.
Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and modern web applications is useful. We care more about what you can build, how you think and how you learn than a particular degree or an exact number of years in a job.
Why ClearFrame
-
Work on a tool you’ll use as part of your own development workflow.
-
Build practical projects and help shape how other people build software.
-
Have room to propose ideas, test them and see the results.
-
$150,000–$200,000 annual base salary, plus a target annual bonus of 20% of base salary based on individual and company performance.
-
Stock options representing 0.25%–0.75% of fully diluted shares at grant, based on experience and scope. Options vest over four years with a one-year cliff and require corporate approval and formal grant documents. Options have an exercise price, may be diluted and do not guarantee a cash value.
How to apply
Send your resume or project history and one example of something you built. A public repository, live project or short written walkthrough is welcome. Please share only work you have permission to disclose.
ClearFrame experience is useful context, but you don’t need to have used it to apply. We’ll provide product access needed for the interview process. No purchase or product signup is required to be considered.
Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Work from home
Work Location: Remote
