Job Description

Lead the CAM integration strategy across information security platforms and IT operations tools, coordinating with ATO Managers, Information Security Officers (ISOs), the AODR, and program leadership to align technical execution with mission priorities.

Design and develop compliance dashboards and analytics that provide real-time visibility into cybersecurity compliance metrics, ATO lifecycle status, and CAM operational health using enterprise information security platforms and reporting tools.

Configure and maintain information security and CAM modules, including automated monitoring workflows, to support evolving operational needs — including process design, workflow automation, business rules, and integration adjustments.

Develop and maintain data integrations and exports to enterprise BI tools (e.g., Power BI) in coordination with the reporting team, ensuring data quality, refresh cadence, and reporting accuracy.

Maintain data quality, integrity, and lineage for CAM-related data across HAM, SAM, and CMDB; proactively identify and resolve data issues raised by ATO Managers or the AODR.

Implement role-based access and data security controls within information security and IT operations platforms aligned with VA security policies and federal compliance requirements.

Document all configuration and integration work, including data dictionaries, process maps, integration specifications, and reporting SOPs.

Conduct ad hoc data analysis and reporting to support program decisions, audit responses, and risk reviews.

Partner with Business Analysts and the Sr. Cyber Security Engineer to translate compliance processes and inheritance logic into reportable metrics.

Communicate technical progress, risks, and recommendations to federal program leadership through executive-level briefings, status reports, and dashboard demonstrations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a directly related technical field. (Candidates with non-technical degrees may be considered if they demonstrate 10+ years of progressive experience in information security, IT operations, or automated monitoring platforms with relevant certifications.)

8 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following: information security platforms (e.g., ServiceNow GRC/IRM, RSA Archer, MetricStream, Galvanize/Diligent), IT service management platforms, or automated compliance monitoring tools.

Demonstrated experience configuring information security, risk management, or continuous automated monitoring modules — including compliance workflows, control assessments, automated alerting, and reporting. (Candidates must be able to describe specific implementations, not just list platform familiarity.)

Hands-on experience building compliance and performance dashboards using enterprise reporting tools — including KPIs, metrics, scorecards, and trend analysis for cybersecurity and risk management audiences.

Experience developing data integrations between information security or IT operations platforms and enterprise BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) using APIs, scheduled exports, database connections, or similar methods.

Working knowledge of ATO lifecycle processes, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and cybersecurity compliance metrics — including control assessment status, POA&M tracking, and continuous monitoring reporting.

Experience with CMDB or asset management systems, including asset discovery, configuration item lifecycle management, and asset-to-service relationship mapping.

Proven ability to lead technical initiatives — including integration planning, stakeholder coordination, milestone management, and phased delivery. This is a Lead role, not a pure engineering position.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to translate complex technical and compliance concepts into executive-level briefings for non-technical federal stakeholders.
