About the Role:

We are seeking a contract AI Security Engineer to design, implement, and secure AI developer workflows across our enterprise environment. In this role, you will establish critical guardrails, network controls, container security, and identity protections around modern AI development platforms (including Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and Codex) within an Azure DevOps and Linux ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure robust security controls for AI-driven coding platforms, including execution restrictions, permission management, network access controls, credential protection, and centralized logging.
• Integrate security configurations directly into Docker containers, Azure DevOps repositories, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct rigorous control testing, troubleshoot system issues, and document technical gaps.
• Author comprehensive operating procedures, system documentation, and conduct knowledge transfer/handoff sessions with County IT staff.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Security & Containers: Strong background in Docker container security, configuration, and runtime isolation.
• DevOps Ecosystem: Hands-on expertise with Azure DevOps repos, RBAC permissions, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Systems & Scripting: Linux administration and proficient scripting skills.
• Configuration Management: Proficiency in Git, JSON, and YAML configuration.
• AI Tooling & Ecosystems: Experience securing or working with modern AI developer platforms (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, MCPs, and Custom Skills).
