Job Description
Job Overview
Griot Solutions is building a candidate pipeline for an AI Platform / DevSecOps / Reliability Engineer supporting potential U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Enterprise AI Support Services work.
This is a contingent contract opportunity. A funded vacancy and start date have not been confirmed. Placement depends on final contract requirements, assigned work, client approval and final engagement arrangements.
The role focuses on reliable operation of approved enterprise AI capabilities and supporting platforms, integrations and controls. You would help automate approved deployment processes, improve operational visibility, diagnose complex failures and support safe recovery within assigned authority.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain approved platform configurations, deployment automation and operational controls for assigned components.
- Support controlled changes through reproducible deployment procedures, documented configuration baselines, validation and tested rollback plans.
- Develop actionable telemetry that helps distinguish application, integration, identity, network, data and provider failures.
- Diagnose complex incidents affecting availability, latency, permissions, integrations or supported AI capabilities.
- Coordinate technical escalation to product or cloud providers while continuing to track evidence, progress and communications through resolution.
- Maintain runbooks for issue intake, triage, escalation, containment, evidence preservation, recovery and closure.
- Implement or validate approved safeguards against unauthorized access, data leakage and unsafe AI tool or connector use.
- Document control gaps and provider-managed dependencies, and escalate unresolved limitations through approved channels.
- Support approved containment, rollback, emergency-disablement and restoration procedures within delegated authority.
- Test recovery and readiness procedures, record outcomes and track corrective actions.
- Collaborate with integration and evaluation engineers to validate changes and maintain operational-readiness evidence.
- Produce clear incident records, root-cause findings and technical recommendations.
Relevant Experience
We are interested in candidates who can demonstrate hands-on experience with:
- Platform engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps or site reliability supporting production services.
- Deployment automation, version control and configuration management.
- Using logs, metrics, traces and other telemetry to investigate complex failures.
- Identity and access controls, secure secrets handling and service connectivity.
- Preparing and testing rollback, restoration or recovery procedures.
- Coordinating incidents across engineering, security and external-provider teams.
- Communicating technical findings, operational limitations and recovery status clearly.
Experience operating enterprise AI platforms, retrieval-based services, agents or connectors is relevant. Describe the environments you have actually supported and your personal responsibilities.
Role-specific minimum years, degree requirements, certifications, technology platforms and personnel-security requirements have not yet been finalized. No particular cloud vendor, numeric experience threshold or unsupported credential requirement is imposed in this posting.
Work Arrangement and Travel
Griot Solutions is recruiting this role on a remote basis. Any eventual performance location remains subject to the approvals and restrictions of the awarded work.
Limited travel within the continental United States may be required for meetings, reviews, training, readiness or transition activities. The draft requirements contemplate trips of up to three on-site business days each; frequency has not been established.
Assignment Details
Weekly hours, support windows, on-call expectations, start date, employment classification and assignment duration remain subject to final arrangements. This posting does not establish a 24/7 individual work schedule. Advanced or separately authorized work depends on final assigned scope.
How to Apply
Submit a current résumé identifying relevant projects, dates, technologies and your platform or reliability responsibilities. Include your work location, availability and a brief example of a production incident, deployment improvement or tested recovery process you personally helped deliver.
Do not include credentials, confidential client information, restricted architecture…
