About the Role
I’m looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Remote Computer Monitoring Assistant to help keep several Windows laptops powered on and connected to the internet while I’m traveling.
This is a flexible, part-time opportunity for someone with basic computer skills who can monitor device status, respond to issues, and provide occasional assistance with remote computer management.
Responsibilities
- Monitor designated Windows laptops to ensure they remain powered on and online 24/7.
- Check device status regularly and respond to offline alerts.
- Assist with basic remote troubleshooting, restarting computers, and restoring connectivity when possible.
- Provide occasional support for remote computer management as requested.
- Communicate promptly about technical issues and provide brief status updates.
Requirements
- Currently based in the United States; candidates in Illinois or Florida are preferred.
- Comfortable with Windows computers, remote desktop software, and basic troubleshooting.
- Reliable internet connection and good communication skills.
- Dependable, responsive, and able to handle remote access responsibly.
- Available to monitor alerts and provide support according to an agreed schedule.
Compensation and Commitment
- $300–$400 per month, depending on experience and availability.
- Part-time, temporary contract lasting at least one month, with potential for extension.
- Working hours and response expectations will be agreed upon in advance.
