Customer Service & Operations Assistant

Garage Door Experts is a growing home-service company looking for a smart, organized, and proactive person to work closely with the owner and help keep the business running smoothly.

This is a flexible and evolving role that combines customer service, administrative support, and day-to-day operations. It is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, learns quickly, and likes taking a task from “this needs to get done” through completion.

Your work may include:

• Communicating with customers and providing updates
• Helping coordinate appointments, orders, and follow-ups
• Keeping track of open tasks and making sure nothing falls through the cracks
• Supporting the owner with administrative work and different business projects
• Communicating with technicians, vendors, and other service providers
• Occasional personal assistance, research, or local errands

The exact responsibilities will develop as you learn the business and we discover where your strengths are most valuable. This is not a position with the same repetitive task every day. We are looking for someone flexible, resourceful, and comfortable working in a growing company where priorities may change.

Experience in customer service, administration, operations, or executive assistance is preferred. Experience in a home-service business is helpful but not required.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM–3:00 PM
Expected hours: Approximately 25 hours per week
Location: Primarily in person in the Rockville/North Bethesda area
Compensation: $26–$30 per hour, depending on experience
Employment: Part-time W‑2 position with paid training

We are looking for someone who is comfortable starting part-time but interested in growing with the company. Additional hours and responsibilities may become available based on business needs, performance, and mutual fit, with the potential to grow into a full-time role.
