Finance Assistant (Remote, 25 - 30K PHP)

About the role

Boxaroo is looking for a Finance Assistant to support our monthly finance and billing cycle. Working closely with our Operations team, you’ll help review carrier invoice reports, prepare customer billing, and keep our accounting documentation organized and up to date. This is a hands-on support role focused on accurate data entry, reconciliation and follow-up, with clear processes and guidance from the team.

What you’ll do

• Review and reconcile monthly carrier invoices and billing reports against our shipments, verifying weights, zones, surcharges, duties, and taxes.
• Identify billing discrepancies and incorrect charges, and manage disputes with carriers, following up on claims and credits until they are resolved.
• Allocate shipping and fulfillment costs to customers.
• Prepare and issue monthly fulfillment invoices to customers using our invoicing resources.
• Track payments and follow up on overdue invoices.
• Collect and organize monthly documentation for our accountants and support them with reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly reports on shipping costs, surcharge trends, and recovered credits from billing disputes.

What we’re looking for

• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills. This is essential. Lookups (XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP), SUMIFS, pivot tables and structuring large data files are part of your everyday work.
• Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail. You enjoy finding the number that doesn’t add up.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting: invoices, credit notes, tax application, reconciliation.
• 2+ years of experience in billing, invoicing, accounts receivable or reconciliations.
• Strong English and communication skills.
• Highly organized and self-directed. Able to run a monthly cycle with deadlines without daily oversight.
• Good judgment on what to resolve independently vs. what to flag.
• Nice to have: experience with logistics partners and carrier billing (UPS, DHL, FedEx or similar), European VAT, Singapore GST.

Compensation

25,000–30,000 PHP/month
