Imagine Staffing is recruiting for a Software Engineer III on behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Buffalo NY . The SWE will design using C#, Angular, VB.NET, specify IS solutions, provide technical development of new or existing applications. Application designs for components, providing IT modifications effectively using analytical and technical skills, available technology and tools in the evaluation of client requirements and processes.

Hire Type: Contingent / W2 only / Contractor

Pay Range: $ 80/HR (DOE)

Work Type: Full-time / Hybrid (4 Days Onsite – 1 Day WFH)

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm/EST

Role & Responsibilities “At-a-Glance”

• Complete and oversee systems analysis, design and development efforts.
• Lead and/or individual contributor on complex projects.
• Provide analytical consulting, identify and implement new technologies.
• Direct and monitor resources and coordinate dev tasks for any project.
• Prepare and manage the technical component of project plans.
• Confer with other Development, operations staff and Technology staff in overall systems development direction from technical analysis to user acceptance testing.
• Prepare and review test data and execute detailed test plans and debugging.
• Evaluate and understand highly complex interrelationships and effects among programs, interfacing applications and platforms.

Skills, Education & Experience Required

• AS degree in technical studies and 6 years of .NET Framework, .NET Core, Angular or React app dev experience, or combination of 8 years higher education and/or work experience and 6 years NET Framework, .NET Core, Angular or React application development experience
• Application development software and hardware platforms
• AI Application Development; prompt engineering, Agentic workflow
• Software engineering; coding, testing, CI/CD, APIs, cloud
• Architecture and systems thinking; design, integration, governance, securities

Education and Experience Preferred

• BS degree in technical studies
• Banking or Financial industry app framework experience
• Mastered apps support with knowledge of interfacing/integrated apps
